So I’ve had a bit of an adventure the past couple of days. Last Thursday at Zumba if I moved a certain way I had a pain in my stomach almost like a bladder infection pain.

Sunday we are at the movies and all of a sudden a pain starts building up. At first I thought it was gas pains. Within an hour the pain had reached an excruciating level.

My wife was super kind and smart enough to take me to the emergency room where thankful they gave me really good pain meds in an IV (as pictured above) and ran all kinds of tests.

Turns out I had a 15cm cyst on my right Fallopian tube that had somehow gotten twisted and cut off the blood supply to my right tube. Monday night I went in for emergency surgery to have the cyst removed and they also had to remove my right tube. Thankfully the left is still good and both ovaries looked great.

So a minor set back in the weight loss arena as now I can’t workout or do heavy lifting for quite some time. The pain is pretty minimal compared to what it was when I went to the ER but I’m actually still pretty sore. I’m also taking this as a sign that I shouldn’t do Zumba anymore which makes me a bit sad because I really enjoyed it but I don’t want anymore Zumba accidents!

Fat people do not have to be healthy in order to deserve dignity

Fat people do not have to be healthy in order to deserve dignity

Fat people do not have to be healthy in order to deserve dignity

If I see someone say, “It’s ok to be fat as long as you’re healthy,” one more time I’m gonna lose it. I know this is a crazy radical idea, but how about someone’s health has nothing to do with how you should treat them or how much respect they are deserving of?
